Week 7
The article about Korean American culture really attracted my attention because I have a very good friend who is Korean. Also with Korean pop becoming popular with Psy and the song Gangnam style, Korean culture is becoming more relevant in American society. I know that American culture is very relevant in Asian cultures with Hollywood and as globalization increases Asian culture will become more relevant in America. Google has actually hosted Kpop concerts and I know several friends who have seen these famous Kpop stars here in California. Globalization as a topic is great because mixing of cultures is a wonderful thing but also, as cultures mix, economies mix creating a larger market which will eventually lead to a more efficient market.
I wonder if, as technology and transportation becomes cheaper and improved, will globalization become even more relevant?
