Upon reading Hamamoto’s “Servitor of the Empire”, the
information he talked about was indeed shocking. He talks about the major
historical difference between the
Cuban missile crisis
and the planning
that led to
the invasion of
Iraq. It was the team selected behind this idea about a “new” multicultural
America. In lecture, we previously discussed some topics relating to how there
are some people in our society that believe that we are past the age of
discrimination and racism. With the stereotypes and this conspiracy, there is
no way to really know where discrimination is on this spectrum. Hamamoto tells
his readers about how the positions in the White House are filled to make
minorities believe that they are being taken accounted for. In a position of
power, these politicians are actually there to have society believe that power
is equal, but in reality it is the complete opposite. How this even works is
ridiculous, yet it is reality and we should’ve been prepared for it. Minorities
should know that their voices aren’t heard and even though it seems like
politicians want to help us, it’s all a conspiracy. What can we really do now?
