In the article “Why does Ferguson matters to Asian-Americans” by Soy Jung, she speaks about how police brutality has oppressed Blacks in the United States and advocates for a better justice system where they should incriminate the police that are murderers instead of incriminating protestors that are fighting for their rights and beliefs. She compared them to her culture, which is Korean, and back in the 1919, Japan colonize Korea and try to erase their tradition and oppressed the Koreans. This cause rage within one race and in trying to fight the oppression, they used silent rage and as well as violence. By comparing her opinions from where she came from, she was able to understand why Ferguson matters to Asian – Americans. We are both minorities in the states in whom are trying to fight the white supremacy powers but instead we are considered model minorities while blacks are not. But Blacks faced more oppression than Asians ever since slavery and all the laws that blocked ways for blacks to move up in the mobility ladder in society.

Q: Why is the phrase “Black lives matter so crucial”
