In the article “Monster, terrorist, fag: The War on terrorism and the Production of Docile Patriots” Author made a clear definition of monster and mentioned the relationship between monster and terrorism. I was very interested in this part, because it gives me a new explanation of how terrorism exist. In author’s view the terrorist is equivalent to the monster. By the Foucault’s concept, monster have the questions of sexuality, cultural and race. It was different from normal people and be very aggressive. In my opinion, terrorist can me one kind of monster. Although they may look like human beings, they do not have any kind of humanity just like monster terrorist. Peoples’ lives means nothing tho them what they want is to destroy something to satisfy their inner distorted desire. The 9/11 tragedy is an typical example of how these monsters harm our society. Therefore people around the world should work together to keep those monster far away from our harmonious society and make punishment on them.
Question: The terrorist are inborn or come from normal people? How to prevent people from being such monsters?
