As tuitions keep increasing, many families are not able to afford their child to go to college. Therefore, many students to have to participate occupy movements to express their dissatisfaction. In the article, “A Tale of Two Campuses: Berkeley and Davis respond to Occupy movements”, the author talks about two highly different responses to the occupy movements on the UC campuses at Berkeley and Davis. Berkeley campus focused more on students’ rights while Davis was more concerned with the school’s benefit. In my opinion, Berkeley’s reaction to this incident is more appropriate because students are the most important component of a college. So, it is the school’s responsibility to protect students’ rights. Also, as the best public college system, University of California pioneers to provide students who cannot afford private schools with the best education. As part of the system, UC Davis should actively improve its education and lower the tuition, making the school affordable to all middle-class students.

Question: What are the possible causes of the different responses?
