Korean & American Culture Intersected

Worldwide Cultures Interconnected

In Jung-Sun Park's excerpt "Korean American Youth and Transnational Flows of Popular Culture Across the Pacific", he analyzes how globalization has impacted the cultures between South Korea and America. The integration between Korean and American cultures is evident in our current society, as Americans are updated and follow Korean culture and vice versa. Park analyzes the role of Asian American youths towards transnationalism, explaining that they are significant for acting as the consumers of the interconnected cultures. He also explains how the youths change the way globalization function because of the communication between the different pop cultures. The integration between worldwide pop cultures is a positive aspect of globalization because people become aware about different cultures and shows appreciation for diverse communities.
