Richard Yee
Response to: Dialectic

I thought this article did a great job commenting on the changing landscape of social movements along with the globalization of society. I think about how groups might go about creating a social movement in the current time, and what might be the main focus. I think a modern day social movement would have to gain some sort of viral foothold through social media/the internet. Furthermore, with each new generation of people, thought patterns have the opportunity to be remolded and changed in a fundamental way. It is my belief that with the internet, young people are exposed to an incredible amount of new information on a daily basis and I think this translates into a more fluid approach to ways of thinking. My question is, will there be an Asian social movement in the near future?
