Thinking Dialectically is the New Way of Thinking

Response #1 - "Nothing Is More Important than Thinking Dialectically"

In the article "Nothing Is More Important than Thinking Dialectically" the author Grace Lee Boggs centers around a focal concept of progressive movements, actions, and ways of thought, being a collection of constantly changing notions, never set in stone.  In short, as the world progresses further, and simultaneously changes, the sphere of progressivism must flow and change as well.  If not, then what may have been considered progressive at one time will cease to be.  Boggs presents the new standard of progressive movements in where the aim is to build a construct of power from below, rather than the past standard of taking power from the state.  Furthermore Boggs presents the harsh reality that the nations and peoples of the global north living at the lofty standards in which they currently live at, only at the expense of the planet itself, along with the fellow human brethren in the global south.  This offers up a morally conflicting concept, in which the benefits of some comes at the cost of others.  However, one thought presented in the article which came as strikingly harsh was the reality that there are those in the global south who see the tragedy of 9/11 as something the United States had coming.  While it is acceptable for people to think in whichever way they wish as free thought is an inalienable right and an innate action of the human entity, the notion of 9/11 being a disaster that America had coming is simply appaling.  This again is another harsh reality that Boggs justly declared had to be simply accepted, regardless of the offensiveness behind the belief.

Question: Even with the acceptance of the reality of the global north living so comfortably only at a cost to others, is it truly possible to create a world wide standard in which everyone lives acceptably and comfortably without detrimental effects for anyone?
