Responses of the Occupy Movement

Entry #4
Response to Tale of Two Campuses

In the excerpt "Tale of Two Campuses", Alan Markow briefly analyzes the contrasting responses that UC Davis and UC Berkeley provide in response to the Occupy Movement. The article display how UC Berkeley compromises with students by dedicating to a new financial plan that would be affordable for students while UC Davis alleged that protesters caused severe damages that needed to be repaired. The different responses were surprising and really disappointing. The protesters of UC Davis fought endlessly to get their message across to the board of regents yet they did not receive the response that the students of UCB received. The system is unjust in several ways that should be called to attention.
