"The Time to Fight is Now: When Asian American Women in Academia Go Rougue" written by Kieu-Linh Caroline Valverde and Wei Ming Dariotis is about the unequal treatment of women in the educational institutions. The concentrates on the Asian American side considering the model minority, the social engineering, and corporatization of the institutions. Overall they go over their journey to fight the tower and emphasize a strong call to action on Asian American individuals in educational institutions. In recent times women equality movements have arisen quite rapidly and I can see that the change of social equality at these universities. Women rights are fought for by big name stars and with the backing and publicity of their actions Asian American women can speak their thoughts and fight for their social justices. I saw that the entire essay really tied together with the previous readings and all came together as parts of social injustices. OVer time I can see women rise in equality. I also can see changes in the universities as they have made alterations and additions of Asian American classes across campuses. The rise of these classes can also greatly increase the power of Asian American people. How can the pursuit to gender equality of Asian American women be catalyzed?
