Yuqi Hu A04 Week 9

I think this week's reading "Pain+love=Growth The Labor of Pinayist Pedagogical Praxis" written by Melissa-Ann Nievera-Lozano is very obscure and very hard for me to read because of the word choice. After reading it, I think I probably get the main idea. This article talks about how people are oppressed by Imperialism and how they fight back.
The main characters are second-generation immigrants. They are oppressed by the higher class in society just because of their race. They deserve equality in society; therefore, they need to be in a team and fight for themselves together. Fortunately, more and more colored immigrants, especially women, come together and fight for their equality. Since the United States has a very large portion of immigrants, the government needs to try their best to provide equal opportunities and protect the right of those immigrants to attract more immigrants. With more and more colored women go to pursue higher education or academia, the overall academia needs to have some rules to protect them. By doing this, the American academia may have some different voices from different races and can create some new ideas to make the academia in the US more competitive. Colored people should have equal opportunities in both workforce and academia.
