Sitian Zhang ASA002 A01 Week 10
In this week's reading, Fight the Tower, we are approaching the conclusion of this story that it speaks the unjust situation in the education and working system for Asian Americans. Also, it suggests that Asian Americans should stay strong and fight for the same purpose to "eliminate" discrimination and stereotype.
Especially, people are getting through a hard time period during the Covid-19 that many people in the United States hold hostile attitudes toward Asian people due to this pandemic. The fear of this pandemic reveals the interrelationship sensitivity which exemplifies the social and cultural difference and further led to the conflicts and even racism toward China. The obscure origin of this pandemic caused controversy and exacerbated the long-standing misunderstanding of Chinese people. On the other hand, many protest marches are happening across the whole country. The problem of oppressive conduct is emerging with the march happening 'everywhere'. Many videos are spreading around and people may get shocked by these videos.
Back the topic, I want to say it's really important that Asian Americans should step out and break the discrimination and stereotype to the most extend. Also, Asian Americans should prove that everyone should have the same rights no matter what race or gender we are.
