Linjun Che A02 Week 9

This week, we read “Academic Symbiosis: A Manifesto on Tenure and Promotion in Asian American Studies” by Wei Ming Dariotis. At the beginning of the article, the author used a movie, “ star wars” to show us that she believes that people in academia should have a relationship like a friendship. We should stand with each other to have a mutually supportive system instead of current aggressive altitude. We should act equal treatment to every group no matter minorities or white people.
Star Wars: How Rogue One Broke from the Skywalker Formula | Den of ...Actually I really like this article, because the author points out that the final goal is to find a friendship between no matter white people or minorities. Just like I said before, we are now so aggressive. White people are aggressive to the minorities that they think the minorities will harm their country. The minorities are aggressive to the white people that they think white people encroach on their rights. Both of them act like that they are competing with each other. And it will never really solve the problem, because they never stand with each other like a “friend”. The only way is that we sit down and discuss like friends.
