The most impressive article of reading of this week is “Mothering is Liberation”. In this article, Allyson worked in academic field, and was a mother. She struggled to find balance between family and work. Also, the inequality exist in academic field made her stressed out. It is also a problem for people to find balance between family and work, and in my opinion, this problem is much more serious for females. When a woman decide to become a mother her career will be seriously influenced. In my country, women usually need to prepare a lot for pregnancy, like physical examination, and a lot of money for their child. Although most company will allow those women who decided to become mother to rest at home for more than a half year, many women will finally abandon the chance to become mother. China has a large population which means many competitions. Resting at home for more than a half year means that those women will lost their opportunity of promotion. In my opinions, this is unfair, since become a mother is the right of a woman. They should not be treated differently because of this.
