"From sea to shining sea
Under the beautiful halcyon skies
Over the purple mountain majesties
Across the amber waves of grain
Through this fruited prairie
Till we reach the land of free"
-Wang Ping
By just reading through his words, I feel like I am able to touch the image the author tried to describe. It is incredible that he/she gave the word this kind of vitality. During the long way of seeking justice and equal society for Asian American people, there were numerous cruel cases lying on the history road. It is very true our society is not always fullfill with beautiful stories, but with realistic and maybe a little brutal things. Moreover, looking through the way of Asian American people trying to protect their lawful rights, it is often related to violence, politics and disappointment. It seems like the way of fight is extremely dangerous and undesiable. The equal Asian American people expect for is more realistic and substantial, like career, academic, and politics. However, in Wang Ping's peotry, I see the seeking of purely free, the expectation of a beautiful world, the spirit of fighting through every trouble.

Like Immanuel Kunt once said: " Man is an end not a means", when talking about equal and justice of Asian American, we should focusing on the end of road which is truly free, instead of struggling in discussing whether career equal or academic equal is more important. In other words, the truely equal society for Asian American is represented not just by free opportunities in job or academic, but by when every single Asian American can do whatever He/She want legally without recieving harmful criticize from the society.
