            After reading these articles called “Injustice against Women of Color in the Academy”, I still not believe all the discrimination toward colored women really exist. Only by reading all those numbers, it is very hard for me to really realize how important this issue is. It is kind hard for me, as a student from a foreign country that full of same colored people, to believe that those problem really exist. In my memory, there are a lot of colored women teachers and professors in our school, and it seems like they all enjoy what they are doing. There is a video made by Mayors Office London. In that video, women are asked to take the stairs but men can choose to take the elevator. This video is trying to show us how hard it is for women to be successful and get promoted in work place. I think that women can hardly successful in work place is because of they usually receive lower education and this causes a stereotype that women are not good at working and studying. This stereotype lead parents not to send their daughter to better school and receive better education, and a negative feedback loop is accomplished. To break any step in this loop will help us to solve this issue.
