As I read the "Taking Action: Asian American Faculty against Injustices in the Academy" article from the class, I realize that there are more problems that Asian American people are facing even under the current century, and I fully understand why this situation happens every day until now.
As an Asian student who has been studying in California for almost eight years, I do have some Asian American friends and experience having fun with them. First, it is obvious that the stereotype that Asian people are always good at academic indeed exists, and I do not fully agree on it since it brings too much pressure to them. Many of my Asian American friends are nice and positive to face life with diverse grades on academic since it fully depends on how the education works on them. it is true that Asian families do care about grades more than other things to a student, but it does not mean that every single Asian student must have good grades. Besides, Asian students also face the problem that they might not be able to merge into local culture well even though they are born here. As we know, the USA is like a melting pot that attracts people all over the world with diverse cultures. However, it lets people come but does not help people to unite, which is also a sad story to Asian American especially those students.
My question: what is the proper way to fight against the injustice about race problems?
