As we all have known that the coronavirus has been spread out all through the world since the end of the last year and as a Chinese student who studies in California, which is also considered as a seriously affected area, I do feel kind of anxious and worried about myself and my family. Even though there is a lot of news updated through the last couple of months, and obviously things happen every day, I do not think that we are necessarily to be lead by all the social media. It is true that every time I watch the news on my phone, I usually see that anxiety occurs when the news is delivered no matter if the news is true or not. Meanwhile, people will start spreading out the news on all different social media like Facebook, Twitter, or Wechat, and as a result, more anxiety will occur due to the exposure of some fake news. In my perspective, this kind of anxiety sometimes is more harmful than the virus itself even though anxiety does not kill people usually. When facing some difficulty especially like the virus that is related to all the people around the world, as the people who know some condition about the disease, we should not spread the anxiety to those who do not know it well, instead, we should stay calm and tell other people what we shall do to avoid the risk and things will be fine eventually if we take careful steps and help each other.
My question: When someone is spreading some anxiety without sense, how should we respond to this problem, leave it there or remind?
