The videos on the pepper spray incident and the Ethnic studies strike in UC Berkeley was very unsettling to watch. Seeing the police employ such dangerous measures to stop the students are very scary. It is not only a crime towards the students affected but also a crime against humanity. This shows how powerless we are to the corrupt system that is our society. And nothing is going to change if we just stand by and watch. It is sad that we had to demand and bring it out to the streets just so that we will be taken seriously. 

But in a more positive note, if we are able to stand together and work together, imagine what we can achieve. The sorrow we felt will just bring us close together. 

Question: How do we demand for what we deserve, without using inciting violence?
