Reflection of Coronavirus
This is an extraordinary year. The health crisis caused by coronavirus is spreading all over the world. As a Chinese student studying in the United States, I have continued to pay attention to this matter. In Wuhan, China, as early as the end of December, it was discovered that some citizens had related symptoms. However, the government was not aware of the severity of the disease. When doctors with keen foresight began to predict possible crises, the government did not heed their advice, but instead warned and punished them for reasons that disrupted social stability. Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist from Wuhan, raised concerns about the virus in a social media chat room, but the police and the police summoned and warned him. Just a few days later, the coronavirus began to spread throughout the city, the beautiful city became a human purgatory, and patients with respiratory failure were packed with hospitals. At this time, the leaders of the city came to their senses and began to implement the policy of closure and strict isolation measures. I have been thinking, why? Why can't we believe earlier, why can't we start taking measures earlier to avoid greater casualties? If the government seriously listened to the opinions of many parties when Dr. Li Wenliang made his prediction, will the situation improve even more? It is true that all this is the sigh and remorse we have issued afterwards. Dr. Li Wenliang eventually left the world because of infection with coronavirus, and his reputation was not restored until his death. Although the heroic Wuhan people and Chinese people finally defeated coronavirus, we still have to learn from this incident. The task of politicians is not only to pursue false stability and tranquility in society. When a crisis is likely to occur, it is the best way to solve the problem by intervening as early as possible and accepting the opinions of all parties objectively. Bureaucracy and formalism are the biggest challenges that prevent people from living and working in peace and contentment.
Coincidentally, when I wrote this text, the epidemic has spread to all the world. When I called my family in China in early January to wear masks and pay attention to safety, I did not expect the virus to spread to me so quickly. By early April, the worried one had changed from me to my parents. Hegel said that the only reference history can provide us is that we can't get any reference from history. I have always expected the United States and other countries in the world to learn something from the lessons of China and start to respond as soon as possible. However, I was disappointed again. All I see is blind self-confidence and overwhelming criticism that the Chinese bring viruses to the world. First, there is no evidence to show that the virus originated in China. When the whole world is facing such a health crisis, what human beings should do is to be united as a community of destiny, instead of taking this opportunity to amplify discrimination and contradiction between ideology and race. I am very sad to see that my countrymen have suffered discrimination all over the world. Only when the whole world puts down prejudice and unites and cooperates can this crisis be improved more quickly.
Question: Why do people not believe the control effect of the Chinese government
