It is amazing that the population of Asians is increasing so rapidly that the estimated future has a growth rate of 161%. From reading the data given in the “Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Census 2010” article, Asians are increasing in the America population. In comparison to Americans, Asians are in the lead of higher education. However, the percentage of poverty and the percentage of Asians without health insurance have not been decreased, which is very contradicting because, logically, a higher education meant for a better standard of living. In the other hand, other Pacific Islanders also take up the majority of the population. And similarly, they also have around 15.5% of poverty and 17.3% of the population without health insurance. The difference between other Pacific Islanders and Asians is that other Pacific Islanders only have 14% of their population that has a bachelor’s degree, in comparison to the 50% of the Asian’s population. Therefore, which makes sense that other Pacific Islanders have a lower median income of $53,455 compared to Asian’s median of $68,780. Although it may seem like that their data is different, looking closely, we can see that they are very similar in a way that they are becoming a greater and more powerful population in the near future.

Question: How is the future residential population determined?
