Reading: "Berkeley Free Speech Movement: Paving the Way for Campus Activism" by Robby Cohen

Before reading Cohen's article, I do not know that university students have to fight so hard for free speech on campus, as I always see the university, as a miniature of the society, is a safe space to express one's opinion.
I admire the courage of the leaders of FSM, students who participate or support the protest, and faculties who voted to support the movement. Especially, the speech given by Mario Savio on Deceber 2, 1964, during a siting in at Sproul Hall, UC Berkeley, had reached to me, and so many students, giving them the courage to go on with the protest.

Thanks the effort of students and faculties in Berkeley, we now enjoy freedom of speech, that many of us feel granted without knowing how hard those before us had fought for it.
