Lisa Meng, ASA 002, Sec: A01, Week 1

Coronavirus condition in U.S. is severe. I read a news article , and in the article, it stated that " The U.S. now has more than 500,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, the largest such number in the world" and "It also has more than 22,000 deaths, the highest death toll in the world". It is heartbreaking to see this happen, because U.S supposed to be the leading country; they should've known what to do when pandemic happens.
China started with the coronavirus few months ago. When that happened, most of the people in the U.S. did not think this will happen on them too. People were making fun of Asians who were wearing masks on the street, or even bully them and push them. We thought racism did not exist anymore, but when coronavirus happens, we could tell that some people are still racist towards Asians.
When i read the article "Fight the Tower: A Call to Action for Women of Color in Academia", author mentioned that "These individuals act more like executives running a corporation for profit instead of working on a system of shared governance with faculty directly involved in important decision-making processes for the future of the university as a whole." This is how i feel about how Trump deals with the coronavirus condition in the U.S. As we all know, Trump is a business man. When coronavirus first came out in the U.S., he was telling everyone it is ok. He did not make the situation serious enough for citizens to understand that they should start to wear mask immediately. People were still going out and partying, and this is why there are so many cases confirmed. In my personal opinion, the reason why Trump didn't make the situation sounds serious, because once he said situation in the U.S. is bad, stocks' will go down. He treats the country like a business. He worried about how other countries sees America, and he wants to make America looks as safe as possible, but we all know that this is not the case.

Q: Will China send help to U.S. and help us to deal with the coronavirus condition?
