In the reading "Injustice against Women of Color in the Academy" by Jane Junn and Mai'a K. Davis Cross, explain the experience of Asain American women scholars in America. Their study at USC has uncovered American universities not providing tenure and promotions to scholars of color, showing their white counterparts have higher rates of tenure. I was not surprised when one of the findings of the study was that most white males faculty received tenure. However, I was surprised to read that white male faculty that did not receive given tenure had another chance to have tenure.  The study of the USC showed that they used Asian American scholar's awards and research to show that they able to support these scholars, but after a few years, the university denied them of tenure. I didn't realize that the university will go out of its way to undermine scholars of color and others. In the " Who killed Soek-Fang Sim?" by W.P, showed me how the university could portray a scholar in such a negative way that there was no one willing to help them, and when Soek-Fang Sim dies, she went through the same experience. I was very shocked that the university said that she was not worth anything when she has published many books compared to a white scholar who has published an essay. It is frustrating to see that the college was able to say that they do not tolerate discrimination against scholars of color.

How did the college deal with the problem that they have created, and how did they cover this up afterward?
