ASA002 A02 Shiting Yu Week4

In "Investigating Discrimination: Injustice against Women of Color in the Academy," the authors continues to demonstrate that there is still an obvious discrimination for Asian American women in academia. The evidence authors use is that, in the university, the possibility for White junior staff to have tenure is higher than  Asian American women. In the society, the criteria for Asian American women is always higher than other people. The society thinks that they need to be more brilliant than others get have equal position.
In my college, it is also common that we do not have too many Asian American professor. Actually, White male has highest proportion among professors. When I saw Asian American professor, it was Chinese class. Normally, male is also more likely to be leaders in companies.
When some people think about Asian American women, they often think that they have lower ability than others. At the same time, for themselves, they are also not confident about themselves. They sometimes will suspect that if they is really incapable. However, I think that, when they are treated unfairly, they should fight back instead of silence. In this way, other people will change their stereotype for Asian American women gradually.

Question: How to change stereotype for Asian American women?
