Triroje Rathaloengsak-Week 5-SS1

From the weekly readings I read this week, I would like to mention about the article "Resistance Is Not Futile". As we all know that there is a support system for students in almost every single academia institution. Have we ever question ourselves that "is there any teach support system? especially female staff?" Well, the author from this article have the answer for my question already. There is NO single support system for female worker in academia field. In this article, in order to support other female worker in academic field, the author decided to create the support group for academic worker on Facebook. This can help a lot of female staff in academic institution to receive the helps that they might need. The reason that they will need helps from the system is probably due to the stress in the field that they work. This includes being treat unequally compare to other worker in the field and gender.

Another article that I would like to talk about is "Mother is Liberation: Giving Birth to Alagaan Pedagogy". In this article, the author who is a professor at San Francisco State University and also a mother to a child at home. She states that the job between the mother at home and school is a little difference but there also some similarity between it. She says that mother in academic is "education" and mother at home is "liberation". These two are a little similar where at both location she has to teach her child at home to think critically as well as when she at the school where she has to teach students to think critically as well.

Question: Is there anyway to make academic institution leader to realize that they should provide support for professor and staff as well as support system for students?
