ASA 002 A03 Week 10 Zili Zeng

After spending the whole quarter to read the book "Fight the Tower", I finished the conclusion part of the book, "Conclusion: Academics Awaken Power, Resistance and being Woke" by Kieu Linh Caroline and Wei Ming Dariotis about the change in the education system that allows all race of scholars and learners to access academic resources freely and fairly. Again, education is diverse and open minded to all types of learners, regardless where they came from, what religious beliefs they have, and of course what they look like, white or yellow or black. Those factors are the symbols of the variation in the academia, but not the reason to become entry barriers or excuses for discrimination in the academia.

If the academia is free to all races of people, the world itself too should be more open-minded. I guess  everyone recently is focusing on the tragedy in which the black man George Floyd was killed by the US police who pined him down on the ground for a couple minutes with his knee. Police should be the ones that protect people from danger but not to put them into danger. Regardless people's race, police should develop a sense of social justice to protect every good man. I feel so sad about George Floyd's death when he lived his life in a good manner but received a bad result. Race should be a symbol of protector and love, not damage or hatred.

In this Monday, May 25, 2020, frame from video provided by Darnella Frazier, a Minneapolis officer kneels on the neck of a handcuffed man who was pleading that he could not breathe in Minneapolis. Four Minneapolis officers involved in the arrest of a George Floyd who died in police custody were fired Tuesday. (Darnella Frazier via AP)

Question: In what way can people develop a sense of social justice? Are human born with sins or kindness?
