Objective and Target Audience:

Our objective is to create a SAPSA video that dives deeper into Trump's new tax and budget proposals, and exactly what it means for us college students and our tuition. We would also like to analyze it in regards to how it contributes to the corporatization of the university. Out target audience is college students and anyone who is potentially affected by this.

Our video is complete

I really enjoyed the animations in the video. They are clear and concise. I feel as if the voice over in the video is something that can be worked on. The voiceover is just reading the words off the video which makes either the voiceover or the words unnecessary. It adds an element of redundancy that could be used to further enhance the experience with things such as other helpful aids or animations. It creates a feeling of someone doing a PowerPoint presentation where the presenter is just reading off the slides. What could be set in place would be visuals of statistics that aid the information y’all are providing to further strengthen your cause. Overall the video did inform me about what Trump’s presidency is capable of doing to our universities and what effects may arise from it.

In my opinion, this was a great topic to so a video on because it really explained the new proposals that Trump has in mind. Coming from someone that pays no attention to Trump I found this video informative and it easy to follow along. However, I feel as if the video was very bland and lacked creativity. There were some parts where I stopped watching the video and simply listened to the voice over. Maybe some actual footage or engaging images could aid the video. I also think allowing more than one person speak on the voice over could be key to engage the viewers as well. All in all the video was very well made and thought out. Minor adjustments to the video can really improve the engagement and attention of the viewers. However, with the video being complete, I think it was a really informative and helpful piece to raise awareness for the consequences of Trump’s proposals.
