Description:
We focused on the Asian international students. Our target audience is all the students as well as the schools.
Our video is still in progress. We still need descriptions, summary and introduction, conclusion.
The voice need to be adjusted.
I'm still concerning about the content and direction.

  1. Hi, this is group 4 from Wayne's Tuesday's section A02. I really like your topic, focusing on Asian International students, which is a very relevant topic especially here in UC Davis. There are a few errors and a few ways I think you could improve your video. First of all, your second question of the video asked "Where about your application fee?" which is not grammatically correct. Based on context, I figured perhaps you were trying to ask "How much was your application fee?". Despite the error, I can tell you that I am right there with you on this one, because while I am not an international student, I am considered an out-of-state student and I have to pay a ridiculously high fee just like you guys for really no reason at all. I am not really paying for any benefits, simply paying because they said so. Another thing you guys need to do is to make the question slides last a little longer, because right now I have to pause to actually read the questions fully. Also I see the summary slide before every question which is not really necessary, it just confuses the viewer. One more thing that you guys really need to work on is the voice and volume of the video. Right now, the voices of the speakers are not so great; some of you guys need to speak up, and some of you need might want to re film in a different location because I can hear a lot of background noises such as the wind. I really have a hard time understanding a few of you through these issues. Also, since I had to turn up the volume for the majority of the video, when the end title screen came up it almost hurt my ears because it was so loud. So definitely do adjust the voices of the speakers and the volume of the video. In term of the content and direct of your SAPSA video, from what I'm seeing it seems like you guys are focusing on the cost of attending UC Davis and how it doesn't seem fair for international or national students. While that is a relevant topic, I think there are so much more to talk about when it comes to Asian International students than just the cost of attending. You guys are all internationals yourselves, so I think it shouldn't be too hard to maybe talk about some of the struggles and experiences of Asian International students. I do like the fact that you included a Asian American interviewee in the video to give a different perspective of the Asian experience on campus. I think you guys are nearly there, and with more organizing on the content, by making the video more engaging to the viewers, you guys can come up with a great SAPSA video. Best of luck.
