  1. Comments from A02 Group 1
a.) The clips that they do have are well put together and are very clear and good examples of Asian Americans in the film industry or how they are portrayed in the film industry. We liked how they included a very recent, popular film, a film that is still modern but not as recent, and a film from decades ago because the different times really show how the portrayal has changed or not changed over time. The topic is also really interesting
We think the video could use more editing (like they are already planning on) and maybe more commentary and analysis would be helpful. The only clear weakness was that wouldn’t know what the topic was if we weren’t in this class until they talked.

b.) We recommend that the transitions between the portions of the video should be smoother, because they are abrupt. We also recommend that here should be more explanations as to why so many movie clips are being shown. For example to fix this, maybe while clips are playing you can do a voiceover explaining some things or why you are showing the clips. There just needs to be more words/talking
Also it is unclear what the SAPSA topic is until the guy talks, so the topic should be addressed sooner in the video, preferably at the beginning.

c.) We think they need to put more work on the clarification of the objective. From our first impression of the video, we didn't understand what they tried to claim about the issues of Asian-Americans in the film industry. We suggest having a clear start at the beginning that explains their research instead of showing the trailer of Crazy Rich Asians.
We think the group try to meet their objective to some extent but not clear enough. First of all, this video started with Crazy Rich Asians, and then suddenly showed the characters of Dragon Seed without any explanation. Then the video shows an individual's remarks from Twitter, and it all seems confusing. On the other hand, the materials are too fast to read. Finally, they explained a bit of Crazy Rich Asian at the end of the film.
