Discussing mental health is such a stigmatized issue in the Asian American community. College students, in particular, have the highest cases of mental exhaustion, anxieties, and other mental health-related issues. In our video, we want to allow people to have a glimpse of what an Asian American college student go through in order to fulfill the expectations of their parents.
The following video that you are about to see is a rough draft, we are planning to record more videos, amplify the voice-over narration, and incorporate a more holistic and refined approach to the issue of mental health among Asian American college students. Please enjoy!
A01_Group 6 comments: The video is great and very informational. Some thing that could be improved is to make the video volume more uniform, the second two speakers are much quieter than the first, subtitles would also be nice in case the viewer cannot hear the message. Video is nice but could be more relevant to mental health, showing meditation, mental health facilities at UC Davis etc. Overall, great video.
