Objective: Our goal is to educate college students and those who are for deporting/criminalizing illegal immigrants about the truth regarding undocumented immigrants and DACA, Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals. Many of those who are against DACA stereotype illegal immigrants as criminals with Latin descent who cross the Mexican border. These people believe that undocumented immigrants should be sent to their “home country” since they fear that these immigrants are unsafe. With this portrayal, undocumented Asian immigrants are invisibilized and not given a platform to express themselves. Our video aims to debunk the current narrative and focus on how DACA can help Asian students pursue a greater future.
