After reading this week’s article, “Opening the Box: An International Asian Woman Scholar’s Fight”, I’m touched by this story. It is about a story of an Asian Women professor who got unfairly treatments in academia and her way to fight for her rights. Many excellent international scholars are hard to succeed in their fields because their races had impeded their way to enter a certain field. Foreigners are hard to join the society. Some native Americans don’t like foreigners from the bottom of their hearts. This is also can be seen right now. Many Americans refuse Asian people to come to the United States because they think these people have stolen their work opportunities and make them poor. These phenomena shouldn’t appear anymore. Right now, under COVID-19, There are many Asian Americans who are sacrificing their safety working in the hospitals to save the lives of others. Although they were facing unfairly treatments, they still want to help others at such a critical time. From the academic environment, we can see the overall social treatment of Asian Americans. I wish these problems will not exist in our society and make a better future for the next generation.
Question: Am I right about the social treatments of Asian Americans in other fields?
