In this week's reading, we continue to learn about Asian women's career lives in a career. Many Asian women are doing work without regular rewards as other American people do. The truth is crucial but reveals what most Asian women Experience in life. They have less chance to get their promotion compared to Americans while they do a large amount of job at the same time. They are the invisible worker who does most of the job without corresponding salaries.
Similarly, think kind of things happens on Asian students or International students too. International students always pay reduplicated tuition than local students and American born students. Further, International students are harder to get scholarships than American students. Many universities treat international students slightly different in choosing courses or future graduation plan. For instance, only international students are required to take at least 12 units a quarter while only one online course is allowed to take within 12 units.
Overall, I think this situation should be improved and enhanced to build a better school environment and workplace. Especially, during the time period of COVID-19, Asian people might become the target because of the coronavirus. We need to speak up and do some changes.
