Shiting Yu A02 Week6

In this week's reading "Opening the Box: An International Asian Women Scholar's fight. New Bruswick, NJ: Rutgers University Press," it shows that Asian women faculty were treated unfairly in academia and working area. It also demonstrates that Asian women faculty have lower salaries and less chanced to get promoted in the university comparing to other professors who is white Americans.
In fact, I think Asian women already experienced many difficult problems to get into the college comparing to these native Americans. After hard working, they finally get to certain high position in the university. However, there is always something that they can not control. Their ability is the equal or more than these White faculty. Not only for these faculty, when university give offer to candidates, they also prefer these White students. As an Asian, we have to get higher SAT scores in order to get admission of Americans universities comparing to White and Black students. Although not several universities admits they really need higher scores from Asian students, we all know about that.
Just like these Asian women professor can not have equal rights as other professors, we, Asian students, also need to speak for ourselves to have equal rights as other students.
