Week 5 Jianwei Zhu A01

For this week’s reading, we read Empire of Death and the Plague of Civic Violence, written by Darrell Hamamoto.  It’s about serial killing and massive murder between white people. The media and public never blame it to the white because they don’t want to admit their wrong doing. Surprisingly, only 12.5% of US serial killers in Aamodt's database fit what most consider the typical profile — a white male in his late mid- to late-20s. While 92.3% of US serial killers (94.4% internationally) are male, only 52.1% are white. Only 27% are in their mid- to late-20s.All the domestic violent and all these war oversea during the American War. What happened during the American war is the abusing of power, Asian were the victim and abuse objects. That’s why in domestic violent, Asian American has been targeted because the hypersexuality inherited from the American dominating wars. Most of the murderers and serial killers are happened to white.  We found out that African-Americans comprise the largest racial minority group among serial killers, representing approximately 20 percent of the total. Significantly, however, only white, and normally male, serial killers such as Ted Bundy become popular culture icons.

Question: What can we prevent these type of racial killing and not giving them any power to control us?
