Objective: The difference between the Oriental qualities of their family and tradition and the Occidental qualities of their environment and the society they are raised in is a source of struggle for Asian Americans, particularly 1st and 2nd generation Asian Americans, concerning their identity.
Audience: We are trying to influence first and second generation Asian American college students. We are assuming that being in college has exposed our target audience to the basic social issues surrounding Asians and Asian Americans and have grown up experiencing some aspect of our target issue. However, it is equally important that we are able to reach the elder generations, who would also greatly benefit from gaining a deeper understanding of this divide, so that they can help the younger generations build the bridge.
Work in Progress: We are still trying to fit in a few key facts, some of which we will have to omit due to the constraints of time.
