The week I read Darrell Y. Hamamoto's Empire of Death and the Plague of Civic Violence. In the article, Hamamoto wrote about different stories of murder that really happened: mass murder, sniper, marriage material... Some cases in the article is very shocking for me that there is a culture of murders and an obvious increase of murder incidents in the United States in that historical period. Also, I seen the factors in murder: war, weapon, mental reasons and race. On the topic of murder, I found that there is also series of murders and violent crimes on the asian American community. There is a stereotype of asian American people that they are rich, they are not going to defend theirselves, and there was even a rap song video on YouTube which lyrics is telling how to rob an asian family's house. I feel that violence and even murder is not far from us, and should be researched as a critical subject. Also, we should pay attention to what made these crimes happen: hate? revenge? PTSD? It would really help to reduce these crimes if we understand what's behind them.
Question: what are some famous case of murder or other violence crime toward asian American ?
Ted Bundy, serial murderer
