Week 7 Wenjie Xie A02

Immigrant issue has become of the most popular social issues in United States nowadays.  The privatization of prison made the living condition for those unemployed immigrants to be harder. The weekly reading "the criminalization of immigration and the privatization of the immigration detention: implications for justice" by Alissa R. Ackerman and Rich Firman stated about the situation for immigrants’ lives: it is difficult for them to find jobs and obtain necessary files to be able to live in this society. Policy makers promote equality as the way to win the election, and behave in opposite way in the end, treating immigrants unequally and improperly. I read a book to describe how people in El Salvador entered the boundary line of the United State by paying huge amount of money to some “agents” and their poor living conditions after successfully doing so. In this case who are we going to blame to? People who is seeking for better life? Or the government and organizations who only care about money instead of their human rights? I think more comprehensive immigration policies should be released to improve current situation.
