Week 5 - Nai Saechao - Section A03

In the article, “Empire of death” by Darren Hamamoto gives the readers an understanding of violence that has and is happening in the U.S. After coming back from war, the aftermath from some people are not always the best. Some are still thinking they are in the war and others are able to put it aside and try not to remember what happened. And this causes the extent of violence and the cause of death to some people. After reading this article it made me think about what makes the aftermath of war so complicated. And now I think that it is all of the violence that gets inside of people's head and can cause people to get out of hand.
When I hear the word imperialism, I think that it is when a country is gaining power through military force. When I hear imperial university, I was a little confused because I didn’t know how it would connect to my thoughts on imperialism. So what I think imperial university has to do with the authority from the school board using the power for something else. It may be or it may not be for the university's benefit.
