Interconnectedness

In response to:  "Korean American Youth and Transnational Flows of Popular Culture across the Pacific" by Jung-Sun Park
Park explains that in todays world America is not the only influential country. America is also affected by the influences of other cultures. Koreans managed to establish TV channels in America. They have also expanded to the non Korean speaking audience with Korean pop and political news like "Arirang". K -Pop is widely known not only in America, but in Europe and Asia. He says Korean pop culture and other ethnic cultures are what connects Koreans with other Asian Americans. Many of my non Korean friends know more about K-Pop band than I do and watch more Korean dramas. Korea wants other countries to acknowledge their existence. I won an entirely free trip to Korea from a college program. It was to educate students of a Korean descent about their 'homelands'. I met many Koreans from America, Canada, and surprisingly many were from Russia. I felt as if this program was a cultural globalization.
Why do we limit cultural citizenship in a country that is so diverse?
