Coronavirus has affected the U.S a lot. The U.S economic would potentially go to a recession. In my opinion, President Trump is more paying attention to the economic not the outbreak of coronavirus. And his twitter used the word "China Virus" which makes many Americans discriminating Asians, especially Chinese.

The use of term is is considered to be racist. As I read through Professor Valverde's article "Fight the Tower: A Call to Action for Women of Color in Academia", she spends her life time fighting for women in color. Asian American have to fight against racist and stereotypes for their lives time as well. When the outbreak started, most of the Asians started wearing face mask to prevent the virus. Other ethnic groups are using disdainful sight to see Asians since they think wearing a face mask means they are sick. Last week, I went to Nugget Markets with my friend,  and the cashier used a disdainful sight and keep a distance from us because we were wearing face masks and it made us feel very uncomfortable. We are facing too much discrimination usually and even during the outbreak of the virus.  In this case, Asians actually have taken the right measures in the beginning. The contempt of virus has caused a outbreak of more than two hundred thousand cases. If people have seen this as a serious disease and quarantined early, it is easier to control the spread of the disease.
