Speaking about Coronavirus, the news is everywhere now. The first confirmed case was reported in China, and the number went up to eighty thousand within two months. China realized the severity of this virus and made reactions fast. The government instructed people to limit their outdoor activities, and must wear masks if they are out. I followed the updates about the Coronavirus a lot for the past two months, I saw people in China went through a hard time. At the end of February, the virus started spread in many other countries. However, some countries were not alerted at first, they missed the best period that could be better control the spreading. When the condition in China was getting better, the cases in other countries were getting worse. The number of confirmed cases increased tremendously within a week with inadequate proper prevention. Sadly, I read on news that there were some people started to called it “the Chinese virus”; I am glad that people around me were not, yet I am very curious about why there are people doing that?
The social distancing policy was introduced and has affected people’s lives with no doubt. People has reduced their outdoor activities. Wearing mask was being proved to be one of the effective methods in preventing the spread and infection of the contagious virus, but the stock was limited. There were still people wearing no prevention out there, which I believed was very risky. Due to the virus, schools had to move their instructions online. There were many challenges to both instructors and students, but I feel this is also a once-in-a-lifetime (hopefully) experience that we all can learn and benefit from. Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
