During this week, we have learned about neoliberalism, as well as the reading materials that related to this concept. Before this class, I have already learned some concept that have some sort of reactionship to this term. However, this class provided me new opportunities for more clear understanding of this concept. The neoliberalism is still have some connection with colonialism.
According to the reading, the United States has some problems with immigration. However, it is also because of they have some sort of colonialism activities.
The purpose of colonialism is not to really helps others countries but to profit themselves and output their own value. However, here I could come up with a dilemma, how to distinguish whether a country is really help another country or just want to using the neoliberalism or even Neo colonialism? For example, nowadays, China has help Africa countries to build infrastructure. Not only for short term but teaching them knowledge as well as technology. Maybe China is going to profit from this actions in the long term. But Africa countries are truly benefit from these projects.
My question is, how to evaluate these countries' actions?
