After reading the article, I realized how hard women had to work to get to where they want, especially Asian American women. Asian American women work as hard as everyone else but they are still treated differently. It takes a lot of passion and love to fight for what you want to do in life. As for me I still don't know what I want to do later in life and I am hoping I will find it some time during this year.
“Fight the Tower: A Call to Action for the Women in Color in Academia” was the first full story I read where an Asian American woman was fighting for what she want to do. Caroline didn’t receive much support and that surprised me because I did not know how Asian American women were being treated. Now I know and while reading, I realized others treat Asian American women as a low class that has no privileges in the this world. I believe that wherever we go we’ll face some racism or feel like we’re being left out. Sometimes when someone says a racist comment to me, I would laugh it off because I don’t understand some of the comments.
