It isn't a respectful behavior for Davis to welcome students. From announcements, Davis just focused on what’s event going on, such as broken things, rather than solving the problems. Instead, Berkeley stood out to figure out the problems in front of the society and comforted students. So inner of students at UC Davis cannot calm down. Maybe in the future, the Occupy movement will happen again.
On the other side, repeated increase of tuition fee is not fair for everyone who wants to study at UC Davis because not everyone can afford such high amount of charge for education. This is a social problem - educational unfairness. As the report said, the organization called MCap can help middle-class students lower the tuition fee, but it isn’t comprehensive and long-term plan to solve this problem. Government may increase tax to recover this educational problem. In addition, how about international students? For native students, they can apply university loan from banks, scholarship from university. And their tuition fee right now is around $15000-$16000 per year. However for international students , their tuition fee is $45000-$46000 per year. Moreover there is no organizations and banks which have policy to help them or lend money, and it's extremely hard for international students to apply scholarship. So they will have less and less opportunities to study in the US for future.
Question: Do universities in other country have this educational problem?
