From the lecture classes, It was exciting to learn the relationship between race and ethnicity. For instance, the case of Mrs. Phipps and the case of Walker connected with the idea of the whiteness could be used as a privilege in the social world. Regardless of the biological reasons, it is mainly originated from the historical context, in which establish a superior race and have a benefit on gaining resources. Also, It was interesting for me to understand Asian Ameican culture is sort of protection from discrimination, avoiding to make a hierarchy within Asian nations. The authority could be reflected from the economy advance at the home country. For instance, the professor has encouraged us to marry Chinese or Japanese people to gain more status. From the reading, ""The Time to Fight is Now ": Asian American Women, Academia`s socially engineered  " Privileged oppressed, " Go, Rogue," It was understandable on how Asian American has developed from underprivileged to privilege social status, by going against the way how Asian women have been mistreated. It does relate with the Sociological class I took that was about the gender stratification and the inequality created by the rise of capitalism. The way how Asian American has been used as a privilege oppressed and giving attention to the white. I understood Asian people especially women are passive and does not claim about the issues, and it was devasting for the model minority. The anger has been erupted and made an action towards the tower.
