A response to "Deporting Our Souls and Defending Our Immigrants"

The question really is who thought it would be a good idea to deport people who have lived all of their remembered lives in the US. Was it just an oversight? An overapplication of other laws? Indeed, something is terribly wrong with the system. Even people who are permanent residents with citizen parents are deported? What sense does that make? The cases involved don't even make sense, in the the government seems to forget what its goals are. Change does need to be made, and as soon as possible.
