In "Nothing is More Important Than Thinking Dialectally", Boggs brought up several points throughout their article that focuses on thinking dialectally. One of these key point that were important to remember that while it is important to look at, view, or even study past struggles, we should not solely compare our current struggles to the struggles of that of our parents and grandparents. This can be difficult to forget because our struggles today may be different than what the earlier generations fought for. Something to note is that the past was the past and things are always changing, the battle is changing. More recently, the creation of coalitions has become something important, in not only the Asian American community, but among all people of color. We have found a more interest in finding out the reasoning behind the oppression and the actions behind it. Something to question would be: how does finding more about those who oppress help those who are oppressed?
