In "Thinking Dialectically", Grace Lee Boggs addresses the change that has occurred in what she calls the "Asian American struggle". There have been many victories, but the power, wealth and respect Asian Americans have gained comes at a price, like all aspects of capitalist society. Most importantly, Boggs asks "how do we confront the painful reality that our freedoms and comforts in the global north have come at great and immeasurable injury to many peoples and to the Earth?", which we have to confront, as some of the more privileged people on Earth. The privilege we all have is often forgotten in the face of our struggles, whether they are group or personal struggles. The best way to confront our own privilege is to remember the struggles of the past that got us here and join together to address today's problems in our own fashion.

Question: In what ways must Asian American activism change in order to help not only itself, but also those who are underprivileged in ways that may be tied to its own victories?
